March 3: More Paint

Nate chipped yet more ice and shoveled more snow. He even shoveled off the whole deck and patio. That was nice because we could see how big our patio is. We've only seen the house during the winter so we're curious to see what the patio and yard really look like.

We went to Sherwin Williams since Nate can get a discount through Marathon. We picked out a bunch of colors: kitchen, 3 bathrooms, master bedroom, and laundry room. Then we talked to the guy about the discount. It wasn't as great a discount as they made it seem. Paint is still cheaper and higher rated at Home Depot. We should have asked first. We went to Home Depot next. We picked out paint again for 2 bathrooms and the master bedroom. The color selection isn't as big, so we held off on picking the other colors.

We ate at Chipotle and brought the paint back to the house. I went back to the apartment after this and Nate stayed at the house. He ran lines in the crawl space so the whole huge area is lit up with the flip of one switch!! Before, only the entrance was lit. He was pretty happy with his accomplishment; always excited to learn something new. The extra light will really help when he puts the new insulation in and runs the line for the kitchen stove.
